The main habitations of Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau interconnected with forest tracks provide numerous possibilities of scenic routes. Overlooking the vast plains of the Upper Isar Valley, several mountain ranges join together: the Karwendel, referred to as one of the most beautiful massifs of the Northern Alps, the impressive Wetterstein, the stunning Soiern peak, as well as the charming Ester Mountain. Nestled amongst these peaks you will discover numerous spectacular lakes and streams. Hikers, bikers and cyclists are invited to make full use of an almost unlimited network of trails and paths that all expose you to breathtaking scenery.
